100 More Smiles, 100 More Steps Toward a Brighter Future!

VillageSteps Foundation, in partnership with Malz Logistics, Access Bank Zambia, World Vision Zambia, Zamshu, and Zambeef, is proud to announce the successful donation of school shoes to over 100 vulnerable pupils at Emmasdale Primary School in Lusaka under the Shoes for Smiles – Walk This Way Campaign.

This donation represents more than just a pair of shoes—it represents dignity, confidence, hope, and opportunity for children whose educational journey is often challenged by poverty and lack of basic necessities.

As Zambia continues to benefit from the Government’s historic Free Education Policy, we recognize that while free education has opened the classroom door, many children still face barriers that affect their ability to fully participate in school.

Many learners continue to walk long distances barefoot, exposing them to injuries, discomfort, and loss of confidence. Through the Shoes for Smiles Campaign, VillageSteps Foundation and its partners are committed to complementing Government efforts by ensuring that children not only access education but do so with dignity.

Today’s donation at Emmasdale Primary School marks another important step toward our goal of providing 10,000 pairs of school shoes to vulnerable children across 150 schools throughout Zambia.
